WE DID IT!

Strokes Fore Hopes 2010 officially wrapped this morning at 10am. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the boys on their journey you have no idea how much you helped Andrew and Edward, especially in the wee hours of the morning. We will be announcing official numbers soon along with thank yous and wrap up thoughts. Everyone is napping so stay tuned.

Daylight!!!

We can see the light!!! Ed and Andrew had an interesting night. Terry went for a swim in the 6 th water hazard after a glow ball, that’s one way to keep the spirits up. We are now on round 7 at 20 to 5. The pace has slowed but we still have alot of people out here cheering them on. We are on the home stretch.

Night golf

We have just finished the 5th round. Garth has his cart decked out with a construction light, generator, and radio to keep the guys going. We have our glow sticks and bug spray and are ready for a great night of golf under a clear sky. Thank you to everyone who has been walking with the guys they really appreciate it. We are off to round 6

2 and a half rounds down

We are now on the back 9 finishing up round 3. We had a few rain showers but the sun is shining and the boys just got a boost if energy from aunt barb in a clown mask! A Huge thank you to everyone who has come out to walk and caddy with the boys, you are definintly keeping spirits up and providing entertainment. Tim dirkin from corus entertainment has been diving in the puddles! Thanks for keeping it interesting.

Strokes fore hopes underway

Strokes fore hopes 2010 is now underway. There was a great turn out for the kick off breakfast. Come out to Rivendell and see some of the great silent auction items: tickts to the jays, tickets to a Tampa bay and Ottawa sens game, atographed photos and much more. Every little bit helps. $10 =$100 with the 9:1 gov initiative. We are also excited to announce that ken Collins is going to match every dollar we raise up to $50,000!!!! Thank you so much ken!

Fill-up for a great cause

Fill up at Nellie’s Gas Bar in Harrowsmith on Thursday and you will be helping Strokes Fore Hopes give back to the Kingston Cancer Clinic. Nellie’s Gas Bar (on the south side of Harrowsmith) will be generously donating 3 cents from every litre of gas sold on Thursday June 24th to Strokes Fore Hopes.

One Week to Go!

Strokes Fore Hopes 2010 is only 1 week away!! We are busy getting everything ready and are very excited (or nervous depending on who you talk to) to get things underway. Silent auction items are now going up at Rivendell Golf Course and we are adding new items almost every day! Start the bidding!

Join us for the Kick-Off Breakfast on June 24 at 7:30 to 9:45, have a great breakfast and see Andrew and Edward tee-off at 10:00 as Strokes Fore Hopes 2010 gets underway.

Wing Night – Every Thursday at Rivendell is wing night, come out for some great wings, have a drink on the patio and cheer on the boys as they come around 9 and 18.
